'Surreal Life' Cast Gets Ugly

Guess who's jumping into the ring when the next round of pseudo-celebs play house?

Earlier this week, VH-1 announced the lineup for the fifth season of "The Surreal Life," and it was as interesting as it was disappointing. Despite the overexposure of Jose Canseco's out of shape mug on TV lately, sticking him in this house might just be the appropriate punishment for ratting out his baseball buddies (despite whether or not it was the "right" thing to do). Between Omarosa and ex-model Janice Dickinson, someone in that threesome is going to lose an eye.

Next year's "nice guy" role is a toss up between motorcrosser Carey Hart and former "Perfect Strangers" star Bronson Pinchot. And surely with all of these characters, Sandi "Salt 'N Pepa" Denton (she's Pepa!) and model Caprice will get lost in the mix -- unless one of them can come up with a major drug and/or alcohol problem toot sweet.

The next installment of "The Surreal Life" is set to premiere on Sept. 4. -- Rachel Cericola
