Chappelle's Show On Hold
There is no reason for celebration, bitches. ABC News says that "Chappelle's Show" has been put on hold indefinitely. Comedy Central made the announcement today, with no clues as to why or when it will return.
"All parties are optimistic that production will resume in the near future," Comedy Central said in a statement. Yeah -- that doesn't exactly fill the entertainment void.
It's sort of a sad turn of events for everyone involved. Chappelle has been receiving great reviews, which led him to a $50 million payday for the new contract. Comedy Central had struck gold with ratings as well as DVD sales. For now, the audience is going to be left hanging -- and no relief is in sight.
The third season was originally set to premiere May 31 on Comedy Central. -- Rachel Cericola
