Lost Bits: More Casting News and Season 2 Hints

With season two a month from its debut, new "Lost" clues are starting to surface.

First up: Damon Lindelof, "Lost" co-creator, tells USA Today that a "veteran actress" (USA Today's phrasing) is close to joining the cast as a regular character. Lindelof didn't offer a name, but Michael Ausiello at TVGuide.com promises more details in next Wednesday's edition of "Ask Ausiello." The recent addition of Michelle Rodriguez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and now a third character certainly lends credence to the "there's more survivors" theory.

Second: In the same USA Today article, Lindelof tells fans to pay particular attention to the third episode of season two. "We go into the hatch in the first episode (airing Sept. 21) and sort of see what's in there, but it isn't really explained to us until the middle of Episode 3," Lindelof says.

That's it for now! Feel free to offer your guesses, conclusions, and analysis below and in our always-hoppin' "Lost" Forums. -- Mac Slocum

What a fantastic show! Cross between Star Trek and Dark Shadows. I think they should keep the french woman as mysterious as possible and play the theme to her music box in the background when they show her. Just hope the network doesn't screw up and cancel it. They seem to do that when they get a good show on.

I heard that some script bits had been exposed for season 2. Is this true?

What I had heard was --

-the underground of the island is like an "Eden" to start a new society, that is why those kids were taken

-the guy down in the tunnel was merely a person on guard for this "Eden" place

the show would be better if it didnt have 40 mins of commercials

YEAH MAN! I know what your saying. My friend read what he has and it sounds a little like that show called "Land of the Lost" just like that show back in the 90's with a 2000's LOST kind of twist to it. I think it makes the network look retarded and desperate to air shows that theyve already created to a new generation with a different feel to it. they need to get original man.

peace

COMMENT WARNINGS
  1. If your post contains spoilers -- or even hints at spoilers -- add ***** SPOILERS ***** to the top of your comment.
  2. Your post will NOT immediately show up if you post any URLs. Because of ongoing spam issues, I need to manually approve comments that include links. This sucks, but it's the only solution at this time.
  3. Super-long URLs screw up the page. If you post one of these, people will get very angry at you and really, no one wants that. The solution is easy. Go to www.tinyurl.com and create a mini URL.
  4. Do not post under multiple identities and then have inane conversations with yourself. This kind of nonsense will get you banned from the blog.
  5. Do not post in ALL CAPS FOR YOUR ENTIRE POST. In netiquette, all caps suggests you're screaming. In etiquette, it's lame. All-caps posts will be deleted.
  6. Please scan through previous posts to see if someone has already addressed your theory or comment.
