Katey Sagal Guest Starring on Lost

TVGuide.com reports that Katey Sagal ("8 Simple Rules") will guest star in the Locke-centric third episode of "Lost's" second season. Sagal will play a character named Helen.

Helen is a moniker that popped up in Locke's backstory early in season 1. In "Walkabout," the fantastic episode that reveals Locke's handicap, Locke has a phone conversation with a sex-line operator named, oddly enough, Helen. When he tries to entice her to Australia for a Walkabout excursion, and she abruptly declines, the anguish of Locke's pre-island life is made abundantly clear.

The episode featuring Sagal, titled "Orientation," will air Oct. 5 at 8 P.M. -- Mac Slocum
