Lost Blog Update: Slight Season 3 Posting Change

The "Lost" third season premiere is a mere week away and I'm gearing up for another season of recaps. However, I'm going to be making a small change in this season's update schedule. I've typically posted new reviews by noon the day after a new episode, but this year it'll be closer to 2 p.m.

My hope is that this isn't too big a deal. I hemmed and hawed about a schedule shift, and this is simply the best solution for me (alas, writing about "Lost" is not my full time job -- shocking, I know).

I cannot stress this next bit enough: The only thing that's changing is the update schedule, and even that is shifting by only a few hours. Everything else will remain the same: the reviews, my snarky writing style, my desperate and feeble attempts at humor ... all of it is comin' back atcha.

See you next week! -- Mac

sheesh...ya had me concerned there for a second. Noon, 1pm, 2pm, who cares... as long as you're doing it.
Bravo Mac

We're looking forward to more recaps. Yours are the best by far Mac.

2pm eastern or pacific??

Just kidding, it will be good to have your reviews back again. It made working a lot more bearable on Thursdays.

Oh year it will be good to have the show back also :)

hey mac...can't wait for more of your comments and witticisms. Quick question though. As a big time LOST fan, but not a follower of the LOST Experience, I feel a little betrayed by the producers. By putting out all of these things (new Dharma video with ALvar Hanso? Are you *&%@%!# kidding!?!/!) that have to do with the show, outside of it, don't you feel it loses some of its magic and intrigue? I'd be interested to see how you feel about because it really bums me out. That being said, I still can't wait for the next season. Thanks!

less than a week this summer has been the longest

Mike -- I can definitely see where you're coming from re: the "extra" Lost stuff. However, it's been my understanding that all of the ancillary material is on the periphery; the real meat of the series still resides in the TV show. Nonetheless, I understand your frustration. I didn't pay much attention to the game or any of the extra stuff because I just didn't have the time -- I really hope it *doesn't* factor in significantly because I'm going to look pretty dumb if it does! -- mac

It'll be great to have you back doin' your thing Mac. Can't wait to read your wonderful reviews. I agree with what you said to Mike. Most of that stuff is on the periphery and it helps to answer some questions people may have had about DHARMA without having to take up valuable episodes. At least now we now exactly what DHARMA was and what it's core mission was. The bigger question now is why did it fail and what is going on now to replace those failed experiments. Why are they continuing. It was also good to get an explanation about the numbers origin and their meaning in the show and why they seemed to appear everywhere. I enjoyed the video - it gave me a nice little "LOST FIX" without giving away anything about the upcoming season.

You really didn't even have to tell us that you were changing the time!! I don't get to read it at twelve anyway!! I'm too grateful that you actually write your amazing recaps. Thanks all the same. Kat.

#8. Posted by: Kat at September 29, 2006 2:57 PM

Just wanted to say I am looking forward to your recaps almost as much as the show itself. I always check in the next day to help figure out what I missed. Too much detail for just one person! Thanks.

Thanks for the update Mac, can't wait for the new season.
Hey, has anyone seen the 'spoiler' on TMZ.com re: season 2? Interesting stuff.....

#11. Posted by: Joss at September 30, 2006 10:52 PM

Just saw the season three premiere at the Sunset on the Beach event in Waikiki. Most of the series stars, and a few new faces where there as well. The "red carpet line" will probably be on the nightly entertainment shows Monday night. It's great to watch the premiere with 10,000 other lost fans outdoors on the beach. ABC volunteers were even were handing out DHARMA freeze dried ice cream packages at the end. I can't wait to watch again on Wednesday night! Sorry.... no spoilers!

COMMENT WARNINGS
  1. If your post contains spoilers -- or even hints at spoilers -- add ***** SPOILERS ***** to the top of your comment.
  2. Your post will NOT immediately show up if you post any URLs. Because of ongoing spam issues, I need to manually approve comments that include links. This sucks, but it's the only solution at this time.
  3. Super-long URLs screw up the page. If you post one of these, people will get very angry at you and really, no one wants that. The solution is easy. Go to www.tinyurl.com and create a mini URL.
  4. Do not post under multiple identities and then have inane conversations with yourself. This kind of nonsense will get you banned from the blog.
  5. Do not post in ALL CAPS FOR YOUR ENTIRE POST. In netiquette, all caps suggests you're screaming. In etiquette, it's lame. All-caps posts will be deleted.
  6. Please scan through previous posts to see if someone has already addressed your theory or comment.
