Lost: How Will Charlie Die?

Desmond's precognitive abilities don't bode well for "Lost's" resident bassist. We've already see Des thwart a variety of "endings," but it's only a matter of time before Chuckie holds a meet and greet with the Reaper.

Since we're such a creative bunch, let's put those skills to work on Charlie's swan song. How will he die? Where will he die? What are the extenuating circumstances? Who will get his guitar? And, most importantly, can he take Paulikki with him?

Post your thoughts below.

hit by a meteor, definitely.

Claire dumps Charlie for good after she finds out about him kidnapping Sun. Claire then turns to Desmond for comfort and Charlie catches them swapping spit one night and falls apart. He swims out to the spot where he tossed the virgin marys that are full of herion and grabs one and heads to shore. He takes a statue to the unfinished church he and Echo were building. The bushes behind the church are alive with the "wispers" as he cracks open the statue and prepares to take a big snootful when the smoke monster pops out of the statues head and begins making horrendous polar bear noises. Suddenly Locke rushes up and tosses his C4 into the church and blows it and Charlie sky high. Afterwards Locke pretends he didn't know Charlie was in the church. Ooops "sorry, again"

Charlie will be the human catalyst of a nuclear explosion that wipes out New York City.

Whoops -- wrong show. Sorry about that.:-)

Occurred to me - perhaps Charlie dies and then reappears because Des (or somebody) else does something to altar the timeline (or one the perhaps many entangled timelines)

I think we might be reading too much i into - everyone dies eventually -- it's just a matter of when and where.

(I posted this previously but I guess this is the proper forum for it...)

Episode 3.22 "Fate's Revenge" or "Charlie DeClaired"

In an attempt to make ammends with Claire, Desmod offers to watch Aaron so that Claire can have an evening out.

So then...

Charlie takes Claire for a ride in Hurley's van when suddenly it is struck by lightening, rolls down a hill into the ocean, repeatedy hits up against the rocks (scaring many a bird away in the process), and in an attempt to save his guitar, Charlie drowns.

A tearful Claire returns to Desmond and explains what has just transpired. Desmond mumbles under his breath, "Boy, I didn't see that coming..."

Fade to black, "Bad Robot"

Seriously, I think that Charlie dying is contingent on Claire. Think about it. Each of the avoided deaths involved Claire. Charlie stops using Claire as his addiction of choice, Charlie doesn't die.

#7. Posted by: HyperJen at March 21, 2007 12:55 PM

Desmond will save Charlie for the 11th time, then he'll have the realization that his mission is complete. No more premonitions about Charlie dying.

As they celebrate next to a bonfire on the beach, Charlie strums his guitar as all of his worries are lifted. Then, outta nowhere, the Rancor (w/ Dharma logo) comes out of the water and eats him with one gulp.

(Sorry, Return of the Jedi has been on nonstop...and doesn't the Rancor have 4 toes?)

Claire gets abducted to Losteria Lane where she is reunited with Doctor Daddy who reveals that Jack is her brother. They all decide to live together as one big happy family in a nice modest duplex where they spend their days dishing gossip about how the woman Ben is dating killed her husband and speculate on who Juliette has locked in her basement.
Charlie, in an effort to rescue Claire sees her and Jack and assumes that they have shacked up. In a hopeless depression, he wanders into the jungle where he discovers a canoe half buried in the ground. To his delight, it too is filled with heroin stuffed virgin Mary statues. Apparently after the Beech craft went down, someone tried again to complete the heroin shipment by canoeing. They were caught in a typhoon and carried halfway round the world to the island.
Charlie takes the canoe and sets out to sea using his guitar as a paddle. Unbeknownst to him he keeps paddling in circles around the island. He enjoys having wonderful heroin induced visions of being back at home and touring with Driveshaft although strangely all the groupies look like Claire. Just then his vision is rudely interrupted when the Dharma shark attacks, eating Charlie and the canoe whole. His last words as he is swallowed:
"I should've had a bigger boat!"
The shark becomes addicted to heroin, shaves his head and checks in and out of rehab within 24 hours.

The End

Seriously, I think Charlie will die trying to save Desmond. Love the irony.

#10. Posted by: vazirani at March 21, 2007 1:15 PM

Sawyer will write "ALPO" on Charlie's back when he's sleeping. Vincent will then bound out from the forest and devour Charlie.

Could happen!!!

#11. Posted by: JoePike at March 21, 2007 1:20 PM

Dr. Daddy Shepherd (his ghost that is!) will emerge from the forest and berate him to death.

"No dried up rock star wanna be druggie church building baby baptizing hobbit looking loser is gonna hook up with my daughter!!!"

Charlie escapes from the island and rejoins Driveshaft, which, in an attempt to go Spinal Tap one better, gets amps that go up to twelve.

On the first fortissimo in "You All, Everybody" Charlie is sonic-vibrated to death.

#13. Posted by: Cecil Rose at March 21, 2007 1:24 PM

Noticing that Paolo has used up the last of the Dharma toilet paper and not looking forward to employing another scratcy palm leaf and unable to listen to one more of Nikki's whines about not being allowed to eat at the grown-up's table, Charlie scrunches up his face as though constipated, blinks out of sight, and suddenly re-appears in Los Angeles where he spends some quality time with Ali Larter popping caps in underworld baddies and pedalling Virgin Mary smack. He soon finds himself working on a late night comedy sketch show where he and the show and the studio and the entire city are suddenly destroyed by an exploding man who somehow clung aboard an unmanned drone being piloted by terrorists to the ultimate chagrin of Jack Bauer who, by combining and truncating his first and last names had hoped to become the mysterious and omnipotent "Jacob", had his fill of repeatedly saving the world for no pay raise and wanted to snag a recurring role on a tropical island-based ensemble serial as the head of a nefarious pseudo-criminal worldwide empire.

That's it…that's all I got.

#14. Posted by: ransomjackson at March 21, 2007 1:36 PM

Kate will kill Charlie. The delightful irony will be enjoyed by everyone who could not wrap their brains around Evangeline Lilly getting engaged to a hobbit.

#15. Posted by: ShawnL at March 21, 2007 1:57 PM

Charlie finds a multi track tape recorder on the island. He gets it working and starts rebuilding track by track all the instrments and vocals to "You are Everybody"

Problem is, he can't sing the lead like his brother so he does it in that awful falsetto voice he has.

He plays it over and over driving everyone mad. Desmond, who is deep in sleep dreaming of Penny, is awakened yet again by the song, half asleep and not quite realizing what he's doing, he grabs Ecko's walking stick and bludgeons both Charlie and the recorder into silence.

#16. Posted by: petew at March 21, 2007 2:37 PM

I just got one thing to say to all-a-y'all, "Dude, that's funny..."

I agree w/ Senior' Crispy...after reading 200 posts and re-visiting the site like 20 times a day to see if there are any new posts..we could use a little playfull banter to break apart the week until the next ep.

mac - make it happen. We'll give you some good ideas.

Next weeks question: How many plys are there in 1 roll of Dharma TP?

#19. Posted by: Red...Neck...Man at March 21, 2007 3:29 PM

While I agree that a separate question/thread is a great idea, I have NO time to run it (this one came because I had a few spare minutes). Sooo, what I propose is this: I need a volunteer. This person would be responsible for posting the weekly question. That's all there is to it. They can make up the question themselves or they can use one submitted by Lost Blog regulars -- it makes no difference to me.

Anyone interested?

Maybe Desmond is going to have to choose between saving Charlie and saving someone else - himself, Aaron, or a group of people - something that would be a choice that may not be too hard, logically, to make.

I'm not saying it would be an easy choice, just that if you have to choose between one grown up and yourself, a baby, or a group, the choice may just about be made for you.

Charlie Dies - Part 1

It was a few moments before sunrise - day 82 on the island. Charlie and Claire both smile as they peer down at the peaceful, sleeping form of baby Aaron. "Shhhh.. " Clair whispers to Charlie, as he stumbled over the neck of his guitar. Aaron stirs briefly, but falls right back to sleep. Relieved, the pair tiptoe away from their tent and head towards the beach to watch the sun rise.

Holding Claire's hand while staring across the gently rolling waves, Charlie felt perfectly safe. In fact, this was the safest he had felt since Desmond first dropped his premonition bomb squarely onto Charlie's peace of mind. This was the mosot alive he had felt, and certainly the happiest moment he could remember since he had stood before thousands of cheering fans and screamed "You All Everybody!!"

This peaceful moment was shattered by the sound of a baby crying - Aaron was awake! The cry quickly rose in decibel to a piercing wail, and as the couple turned and began sprinting back to the camp, they could also hear the low gutteral sound of a snarling animal. Most of the survivors had also been awakened by the commotion. By the time Claire and Charlie got back to their tent - only a few seconds since the first cry, several survivors were already at their tent including Sun, Paulo, and Huley. Sawyer, Jin, and Desmond were already running away from the tent in pursuit of the intruder.

"AAAAAARRON!" Clair screamed, over and over. She could see well before she even reached the tent, that the cradle in which Aaron was sleeping had been toppled, and the flap to their enclosure was in tatters.. Claire grabbed on to Hurley and asked "Where's Aaron? Where's my baby?"..

Sun, whose face drained of all color, could only point in the direction of the vegetation into which Desmond, Jin, and Sawyer had disappeared. Charlie began to chase after them, but halted as he heard the first of a series of gunshots echoing from the direction he was running. Silence followed for nearly a minute, then another round of shots were heard.

As Charlie reached the first line of trees, he could see the other men had just begun to set out in different directions. He caught up with Desmond. "Where's Aaron?" he asked the clairvoyant Scotsman.

"He's gone brother", Des replied. Being able to see into the near future, Desmond realized that Charlie would demand a more complete answer, so he elaborated "He was dragged off into the woods by some sort of animal.. it looked like a dog.. or maybe a wolf"..

"Or a Dingo?", Charlie queried..

"Sure brother, perhaps it could've been a Dingo", Desmond Conceded.

"Let's go, then" ordered Charlie. "We've got to find Claire's baby".

"You don't want to do that Charlie" advised Desmond. "You're really better off taking care of Claire... if you now what I mean brother"

"I'm gonna die trying to save the baby, aren't I?" Charlie asked, then without waitng for an answer, he declared "Well, I don't care! I'm not going back wthout that baby"

#25. Posted by: vacc at March 21, 2007 5:50 PM

Charlie Dies - Part 2

Back at the campsite, Claire was inconsolable. Even though the survivors had seen the Dingo drag poor little Aaron away, Claire continued to search around her tent frantically. "What happened?" asked Nicki, who had been away from the campsite when the abducution had taken place.

"Dude...", responded Hurley. "I think a Dingo ate Claire's baby.."

Later that evening, as darkness fell upon the island, Jin and Sawyer emerged from the woods. Jin's helpless, dejected expression was a sign to all that no trace of Aaron had been found. An hour later, Desmond returned. "We won't be able to find anything in the dark", he reasoned, "but we'll head out again first thing in the morning". His obvious lack of resolve, and the fact that no one objected to abandoning the search until the next day was an indication that no one expected to find Aaron alive. "Charlie..." Desmond began, then his voice trailed off... How could he tell the rest of the survivors what he knew - even though it hadn't happened yet.

Undaunted by Desmond's foreboding prediction that continuing his search for Aaron would lead to his demise, Charlie pushed his way through a patch of growth that led to a small clearing. In the thick of the jungle, he had hardly been able to see a thing, but now the clouds which had obscured the moonlight had given way, and as he stepped into the open patch of grass he could see quite clearly that he was heading in the right direction. He leaned over and picked up a tattered piece of cloth - it was the blanket that Claire had used to swaddle her baby. And although the blanket had been torn, there was no trace of blood. And the moisture he detected in the cloth could be the saliva of the creature that had taken Aaron. This meant that he could be very close. For the first time since he set our to find the baby, Charlie began to feel a heightened sense of fear.

As Charlie was trying to decide which direction to continue his search, he heard a clear, sharp, and seemingly surprised "YELP" of an animal ahead and to his left. He judged that the source of the sound was no more than 100 feet ahead. He ran forward about a dozen steps, then caution took hold of Charlie and he slowed his pace as he approached the spot where he heard the sound. As Charlie got closer, he heard the animal again. This time the sound alternated between a growl and an occasional whimper. This sound was eclipsed by an even louder sound - the most joyful sound Charlie could imagine! It was the soft crying of a baby... Aaron was still alive!

Charlie will come to realize that he is actually the illegitimate offspring from yet another Christian Shepard drunken fling, and the hideously revelation that he is related to Jack will cause him to implode, ... no wait, explode, no ... implode, explode, implode.

I gotta say....i'm loving this side thread here. As far as Charlie goes I always figured Sun and Jin would eventually discover who kidnapped her and Jin would snap back into hitman mode and do Charlie in. Where Desmond will be or what he will be thinking at the time is beyond me.

No no no thats not how charlie will die. Actually the whole cast will be saved by miracle. Charlie being happy that he didnt died on the island is gratefull towards GOD and will dedicate the rest of his misrabel life serving as a priest......THEN came the horror....one sunny morning he opened his mailbox and found that he is being drafted for a third War in Iraq against the new coaltion regime. Thank u President Jeb Bush Jr....while in Iraq he is immediately recognized by some familymembers of Sayid....Thinking he is in safety with them he agrees to go drink some thea and smoke some pot with the desertpeople..........beep beep beep...Click .....while sleeping he has been sleepwalking into a minefield....realizing that he survived THE freaking ISLAND just to get his brain splattered all over the desert he starts laughing as the junkie madman we all got to know...CLick.....booooooooom!

Final exit Charlie...

Back home Claire receives word of his demise and a big fat cheque from the US army...Penny is happy because she moved in with Claire to engage in a lesbian relationship when she dumped desmond.

And thats the Truth!

All seriousness i think Charlie dies next week and I think Gin will probably kill him and since desmond wasn't around when Charlie kidnapped Sun he couldn't possibly be able to protect Charile from something He couldn't see comming......

This is an easy one—Locke blows him up! That guy is on a roll.

#35. Posted by: James at March 22, 2007 1:06 AM

Next weeks episode will begin with those on the beach hearing, or seeing the smoke from the explosion of the communications building. A few minutes later, a satellite dish will fall from the sky and land on Charlie. Or, later that night a submarine periscope will fall from the sky and spear Charlie.

#36. Posted by: Russ at March 22, 2007 8:18 AM

@James
I agree about Locke blowing him up. Locke seems to be on a roll. I think the next question to be asked on this site's side posting should be "What will Locke blow up next?"

Luv the guy, but man does he like blowing up things (i.e. hatch doors, magnetic hatches, red neck hatches, submarines etc..)

Seriously, I think Charlie's past will come up on him and Jin will kill him. We really haven't had much "lost on lost" murder, since the days of the Marshall and Sawyer. All the same it could be justified enough for the losties to move on. Jin does have a temper and the kidnapping thing was a F'D up thinkg to do. Rock on follow Losters. er..... good night.

#37. Posted by: callaway76 at March 22, 2007 9:06 AM

People, people, people... have you learned nothing??? Charlie has already died many times, and he keeps coming back for more - like the energizer bunny. Everyone knows Desmond is saving him each time, but will there be a final time? Which time? This time? Next time? It's all in the timing... I think everyone that was in the hatch in/explosion died the first time and with each passing "life" they learn how to survive it. Desmond is the only one that realizes it though.

BTW - can't wait for mac's review of last night's Locke-centric epi. It was AWESOME and the ending made me jump off the couch! If you haven't seen it yet, stop reading here. To get back on subject "how will Charlie die" - Locke's Dad escapes & goes on a hunting mission. He mistakes Charlie for the ever elusive Hobbitt and makes a full size trophy out of him...

#38. Posted by: BunnyLover at March 22, 2007 9:24 AM

Once Charlie's past is revealed, Jin makes Paulo some butt-paper out of Charlies backside!
Either that or he will be a Happy Hour appetizer for the Smoke Monster.
Charlie is hangin' with the wrong Claire. He needs to find Ben's magical box and wish for Claire Bennet. She knows a thing or two about avoiding death.

#39. Posted by: MrEko237 at March 22, 2007 11:19 AM

Was anyone besides me wishing that the magic box had something to do with Kate? DAMN!

#40. Posted by: Red...Neck...Man at March 22, 2007 11:28 AM

Hurly will sit on charlie and kill him...

#41. Posted by: Jenny Talia at March 22, 2007 11:58 AM

Maybe Sun's baby is really Charlie's...he did kidnap her, right? Then Jin finds out and it's goodbye Charlie! Perhaps Desmond never "Saw" this because it took place while he was still in the hatch???

#42. Posted by: VIkki at March 22, 2007 12:17 PM

I see the SAVE CHARLIE shirt is already on the purchase block . . . So what about the other side of the equation? Maybe a

SORRY CHARLIE shirt

or CHARLIE. WHO CARES? shirt

or CHARLIE WHO?

This could go on and on and on and . .

#43. Posted by: D. at March 22, 2007 12:23 PM

So much of Charlie's backstory (and on-island focus) has been on the heroin addiciotn that I think that will, ultimately, be his downfall. Somehow, someway, I predict that he will die of an overdose.

@vacc: loved your narratives! Waiting for part 3!

Charlie Dies - Part 3

Charie closed in on the sound of the crying infant. The trunk of a fallen tree blocked his path, and as he navigated his way around the obstacle, Charlie spotted the baby. Aaron was lying face down on a patch of grass between two smaller trees. As Charlie stooped and picked up Aaron, he heard the anmal once again. This time the sound came from directly above him.

Charlie gazed upwards and saw what appeared to be a large dog entangled in a rope net which was suspended between the limbs of the small trees where he had found Aaron. As the animal struggled to free itself, the entrapment rotated, providing Charlie with a better view of the creature. He concluded that the creature may, in fact, be a Dingo. The animal looked sorrowfully at Charlie, as if expecting Charlie to assist in his escape. Even though Charlie had regretted not asking for the gun Desmond carried before pressing on with his search, he no longer had a desire to harm this animal.

He turned his attention back to Aaron, whose cries had subsided. Charlie inspected the small baby, looking for lacerations and feeling his limbs for possible broken bones. Other than a series of minor scratches and abbrasions, the baby appeared undamaged. Charlie gave the creature a final glance, seemingly apologetic for leaving the animal in it's predicament. With the baby safely secured in his arms, he set back in the direction of the camp.

Over the next two hours, Charlie retraced his steps as near as he could remember. Occasionally he would pause to console Aaron, who cried each time he awakened. Fortunately, the baby had slept for most of the journey, apparently exhausted by his ordeal. The closer Charlie got to the camp however, the more apprehensive he began to feel.

He thought about Desmond, and his assurance that Charlie would die during his trek. He began to feel the weight of that premonition increase with each step. Even when Charlie was close enough to discern the sound of the ocean waves breaking along the shore, he felt a heightened awareness that something was out of place.

Charlie stopped suddenly in mid-stride, and heard what appeared to be the echo of his own footsteps. His heart began to beat faster, and he moved forward again - more quickly this time. As he neared the edge of the jungle, so close to the campsite that he could have been seen had anyone on the beach been looking in his direction, Charlie heard the distinct sound of footsteps directly behind him. Was he being followed? "You're daft" Charlie told himself, reasoning that others had not given up the search and were nearby. "Jin! Is that you?" Charlie called behind him. "Sawyer?.... Des?"

When no one responded, Charlie said, out loudly this time, "Bloody hell" and turned to run towards the camp. He got no further than three steps before colliding with the dark figure which had stepped into his path. Aaron stirred, and Charlie quickly tightened his grip on the infant. As he took a step back, his eyes quickly adjusted to the change in lighting and he gasped unexpectedly at what he saw... "Michael?" he asked cautiously.

#45. Posted by: vacc at March 22, 2007 11:30 PM

Charlie Dies - Part 4

At first, the figure said nothing - it merely smiled and nodded in acknowledgement. "Michael?" Charlie repeated, taking another step backwards. His mind raced. It was definitely Michael. But hadn't he left the Island in a boat with Walt? And didn't he kill Anna Lucia... and Libby... "What the.." he bgan to stammer, before Michael interrupted him.

"I'm sorry" he said calmly in Charlie's direction, although not seeming to address Charlie directly.

"Sorry?" Charlie repeated. He then saw the gun in Michael's hand, and quickly took another step back. Charlie stumbled as he backpedaled, and perhaps would have fallen had something not been there to break his momentum.. not just something... someone!

"Shhhh".. a voice whispered behind Charlie, who turned his head as far as he could without completely taking his eyes off the weapon that Michael wielded. He could see enough of the man standing behind him to recognize two things. The first thing he recognized was the owner of the face that was staring blankly ahead, looking at neither Charlie nor at Michael. The second thing Charlie recognized was the fear he had felt before had been instantly replaced by something far worse - a cold, creepy sensation of terror.

"Walt's not himself these days", Michael offered, as if such a simplistic statement could explain how a ten year old boy had grown over ten inches in less than a few months. In fact, Walt seemed nearly as old as his own father. There was also no way Michael could explain to Charlie why he was here now. The old woman had simply told him that Charlie was "supposed to die" - she called it "course correcting".

Those were the same words that Walt's captors had used when they instructed Michael to kill Anna Lucia. Anna Lucia had survived Goodwin's attack but had not been meant to. And Libby would have died days before Michael had... well, if Ana Lucia had died instead of killing Goodwin... something about a sequence of events they had told him. It was confusing to him now, yet made perfect sense when they explained it all to him.

"I'm sorry" Michael repeated, as he raised the gun.

In one sudden motion, Charlie lowered his arms, allowing Aaron to fall gently to the ground, and at the same time he sprang towards Michael.

#46. Posted by: vacc at March 23, 2007 9:07 AM

Charlie Dies - The Final Chapter

Several of the survivors had still been gathered around Claire's tent when they heard the report of the revolver just behind the line of trees. Paulo grabbed one of the rifles and sprinted towards the sound, with several of the castaways right on his heels. When they reached the closest trees, they could already hear Aaron's cries. Sun hurriedy scooped Aarom from the ground and ran with the infant back towards the campsite. The other survivors gathered around the fallen figure that lay nearby. The bullet had entered and exited through the center of Charlie's shirt, and the stain of blood continued to spread out from both sides.

Desmond kneeled beside Charlie. His frowned expression mirrored the concern of all, but Desmond also felt something else. It wasn't the heaviness of guilt and regret that he had felt earlier when he was unable to stop Charlie from plunging deeper into the island jungle. What Desmond felt this time was sheer puzzlement. This was not the death he had seen for Charlie. "No worries brother..you're going to be okay" he lied, quite unconvincingly.

Charlie's eyes were open so wide that the darkness of his pupils appeared as minor specks within the large white orbs. His eyes darted between the faces that hovered around him, then locked on one face in particular. Hurley's eyes welled with tears, as Charlie's own eyes met his gaze and then slowly grew dim.

Through sheer determination, Charlie managed to fill his lungs with enough air to utter one final word. As his lungs emptied for the last time, the only word that seemed to have any significance to Charlie since his arrival on the island was carried away with his final breath... "fate".

THE END

I think that sometime during season four an elephant will wander into camp. How did an elephant get on the island you ask? The same way the polar bears did! Anyway... It turns out the elephant is also a recovering heroin addict so naturally Charlie and the elephant become fast friends. Later in the season when the writers are trying to kill time the elephant gets terrible sick. Charlie is distraught. Naturally, it takes a whole episode of pointless banter and lame adventures to finally determine the cause; severe constipation. Jack whips up an enema for the elephant out of coconuts but there's no way he's going to administer it. Charlie's love for the elephant is so deep that he steps up. Unfortunately, Charlie decides to wander off deep in the woods with the elephant and to wait until everyone else is sleeping before administering the enema. Hilarity ensues. At first, nothing happens so Charlie goes in for a closer look (picture in your mind Charlie peering into an elephant's ass). That's when the contents of the elephants bowels come shooting out knocking Charlie unconscious. Charlie is completely covered in a giant mound of liquidy elephant diarrhea and suffocates. After Charlie is dead Desmond comes running out of the jungle. He's been too busy with Penny who he wished to the island once the survivors captured Ben's magic box. "Sorry brotha," says Desmond. "I thought I had time for both."

Personally, I think Desmonds a little confused because Charlie died already (hung by Ethan in S1 but brought back by Jack). But just for the heck of it, I predict Charlie will die by the hands of Jin.

In episode 18 Charlie annoys himself to death.

SAVE Charlie he is so cool!!!!!!!
i only liked him and cool con man Sawyer if Charlie dies i will stop watching Lost unless Sawyer kills Jack I hate Jack he is so dumb. Jack reuins the whole show he should die by being tourtered by Sayid and then beheaded by Juliet and Sawyer. I would LAuGH so hard and would tell everyone at school about it.I would not stop talking about it. hahahahahahahahahahahahah. die Jack die. I also would not care if Kate died not all the hotties can live

COMMENT WARNINGS
  1. If your post contains spoilers -- or even hints at spoilers -- add ***** SPOILERS ***** to the top of your comment.
  2. Your post will NOT immediately show up if you post any URLs. Because of ongoing spam issues, I need to manually approve comments that include links. This sucks, but it's the only solution at this time.
  3. Super-long URLs screw up the page. If you post one of these, people will get very angry at you and really, no one wants that. The solution is easy. Go to www.tinyurl.com and create a mini URL.
  4. Do not post under multiple identities and then have inane conversations with yourself. This kind of nonsense will get you banned from the blog.
  5. Do not post in ALL CAPS FOR YOUR ENTIRE POST. In netiquette, all caps suggests you're screaming. In etiquette, it's lame. All-caps posts will be deleted.
  6. Please scan through previous posts to see if someone has already addressed your theory or comment.
