Filmfodder Forums Shutting Down; Everything Else Remains the Same

After a lot of consideration I've decided to shut down Filmfodder Forums. I just can't justify the expense anymore.

The doors will shut for good on December 14. You're welcome to save / copy / grab whatever you like. Unfortunately, there isn't a built-in export option (believe me, I looked). You'll have to do it old-school: CTRL-C, CTRL-V ... rinse, repeat.

The good news is that Filmfodder and TV Fodder will remain unchanged. I know a portion of the audience used the forums exclusively (some may even be surprised we have other properties). We'd love to have all the forum folks mix it up with the rest of us in the blogs if you're so inclined.

Note: A spin-off forum has been founded by longtime Filmfodder Forum member Hurling. You can check it out here.

If you have any questions or concerns, drop me a line directly at

Thanks for everything guys!

Hi everyone. I took Mac's suggestion & created a forum at

Hope to see some of you there. My new ID is purplehair59.

This is sad news, indeed. I'll definitely miss reading your reviews as well as all the user comments. We won't even get to read your thoughts on the final episode of the series. :( That alone makes me cry! But. I wish you luck, Mac, on all your future endeavors.

It's only the forums that are going away - the lost bloc and all other TVFodder/FilmFodder blogs continue unabated, including mac's Lost blog, which is where you are right now and where you'll be able to read mac's thoughts on the final ep, as wellas everyone else's.

Oh, thank God! I was about to plunge into a major depression there! :)

Thanks for clarifying that Cecil. To reiterate: I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE. The Lost Blog will continue. Filmfodder will continue. TV Fodder will continue.

Miss the final season of Lost? NEVER! ;)

Ahh I guess all good things come to an end. Filmfodder forums were great in their day! Will be missed.

I'm going to close comments on this thread since the spammers have descended en masse. If anyone has questions or concerns about Filmfodder Forums shutting down, please drop me a line directly at

  1. If your post contains spoilers -- or even hints at spoilers -- add ***** SPOILERS ***** to the top of your comment.
  2. Your post will NOT immediately show up if you post any URLs. Because of ongoing spam issues, I need to manually approve comments that include links. This sucks, but it's the only solution at this time.
  3. Super-long URLs screw up the page. If you post one of these, people will get very angry at you and really, no one wants that. The solution is easy. Go to and create a mini URL.
  4. Do not post under multiple identities and then have inane conversations with yourself. This kind of nonsense will get you banned from the blog.
  5. Do not post in ALL CAPS FOR YOUR ENTIRE POST. In netiquette, all caps suggests you're screaming. In etiquette, it's lame. All-caps posts will be deleted.
  6. Please scan through previous posts to see if someone has already addressed your theory or comment.
