Speaking of spoilers,, the other promo clips on the ABC website are even more spoilerish than this one.

Avoid if you would stay pure.

Clearly, you guys have never been Rick Rolled (until now!). Consider yourselves fortunate.

Considering how misleading previews are with the timing and sequence of events, I do not think these promos have ruined anything – just heightened our excitement for the long-waited conclusion.

5 minutes after this, Jack wakes up from the blast of the Incident and realizes the plane ride was a dream (ALA Pam Ewing, but on a much smaller scale), and things are still as they were. Maybe?

On the even of the final season premiere Lindelof and Cuse sat down with ABC News' "Nightline" and responded to some questions. You have to read this one - it applies to many who share this blog:

"ABC NEWS: You did something that sounds counter-intuitive. You demanded a lot from your audience.

Damon Lindelof: If you assume that the audience is made up of idiots, then you are going to write the show for idiots. But if you assume that the audience is incredibly intelligent and savvy and sort of wants a much more complex and rich puzzle, then write the show for those people and see what happens. Anybody can ski the bunny slope, but we wanted to see how many people were willing to ski the black diamond. "

The entire inverview interview is available on ABC News.

@14/BunnyLover

Where was the scarf? Cindy yes, Scarfy, ?

Please explain significance of fountain ... and why water was not clear, but still cured Sayid (or did it?). I also assume little Ben was cured by the fountain when taken to the temple with Sayid's gunshot wound. Meaning?

Also, how/why does the circle of ash block Smokey? Previously, we know the sonic fence does as well ... and Ben released Smokey by draining the water. Huh?

Water stops Smokey ... ash rings stops Smokey ... sonic fence stops Smokey ... correlation?

Still want to know how Adam/Eve will fit into this (will they?) ...

Enough for now ... still digesting this one ...

A few observations...

...notice the new pulsating sound that shifts between parallel events (different from flashforward and flashback)

...poor Richard Alpert - I don't like the chains comment and the fear in his eyes - the tides have turned

...Ben was out manipulated, but at least he has a new father figure who talks to him - will he fill the Alpert role for MIB?

...John ended up being a pitiful/victimized character until the end, so I am glad that the brilliant Terry O'Quinn gets to stay on playing the ULTIMATE bad guy on the show

...has Jacob come back in Sayid's body and is that why if they did not save him they would be in trouble? (Jacob could not come back instead of being mad at them - they did not know he was dead when they read the note the first time) Sayid's voice sounded different too but that plot device has been used many times to throw us off

...since the Man in Black can assume shapes (people have always speculated that Smokey was the shape shifter but not a man as the primary identity) can we assume that he was Christian too? Christian started "speaking" for Jacob ever since the first cabin visit - was that always MIB manipulating everything? We're all the appearances of the dead the MIB? has Hurley been guided by the MIB all along or were they like seeing Jacob which was real?

...answers that cause you to rethink the whole show - like smokey's identity - I love having new questions again! I just rewatched all 5 seasons this week, but now I need to rethink things after 2 hours! I LOVE THIS SHOW!

OK, from now on all my comments will adopt the following convention:

Sayid1 walks off the plane in Los Angeles.

Sayid2 almost dies, then is taken to the temple to be healed, but the temple healing process kills him. Then suddenly Sayid2 is alive again -pixie dust?

Alternate reality ONE is the one where the plane survives and flies to Los Angeles (simply because it was shown first - no other precedence implied.)

Alternate reality TWO is where they're still on the island. All characters/names/events (if unclear) will have a 1 or a 2 appended to them to make it plain which one I'm talkign about.

Feel free to use the same system if it serves your purposes.
