This movie sounds like it has the potential to be really good, especially with Shyamalan directing Willis again. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be touchy-feely--a sole train wreck survivor finally grasping the Importance of Life or something like that. Who knows? Maybe all that'll happen is he'll walk out of the hospital craving the fruit he's allergic to, and the rest of the movie will be a Monty Python-like quest for the perfect strawberry. (TN1--possible screenplay idea?)

The quest for the perfect strawberry! An excellent suggestion for a movie. It's infinitely more interesting that most of the garbage that's thrown at us and it has the added benefit of focusing on one of the most beloved fruits around (and I'm not talking about Liberace).

Um...for those of you (ahem, TN1) who were wondering why we're talking about strawberries, it's because I made a reference to this luscious, red fruit in a previous post. I think I should EXPLAIN this, however, because even the Film Buff Himself didn't get it.

In "Fearless" (Peter Weir, 1993), Jeff Bridges played a character who survived a plane crash. Cheating fate, it seemed, sparked a kind of attitude of immortality in Bridges' character, and after the plane crash, he could eat STRAWBERRIES, which he previously had been deathly allergic to.

There was more to the movie than strawberries, but they definitely bear significance. I just don't want to ruin the ending.
