Well, only 20 more days until the January 7 premiere of the shortened Season 5, and while either anticipation or apprehension is at an all-time high for most LFNers, the inevitable end is just around the corner. So, with the year, the Millennium, and TV's best show ever drawing to a close, I thought it time to look at how it all got started. When, how and why did you get hooked on LFN?

I really like action movies and shows, so I started to watch LFN. And I saw Roy...

But next to Roy the other casts are very good actors/actresses. I loved all episodes.

Hi EVERYONE. I love action series and movies also!! So, when I saw the LFN previews(along with the fact that USA has outstanding series and movies),I knew it was the type of program I would enjoy. I'm counting the days and hours until season 5 begins.HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all!! Alana......

I have to confess I started watching because I was sure the show was going to be crap. I'd never seen either of the movies, but I hated the commercials for it. I did start watching from the first, and I LIKED IT!

I loved the conflict between the character of Nikita and what she was expected to do in order to survive. It made me wonder what I would do in order to survive.

Then I noticed the dance between Michael and Nikita! Once that happened (I was a little slow), I was totally hooked. By the time the episode War aired, I screamed "YES!" at the end.

It's been a bumpy ride, but I've hung in for it all. I was very disappointed by at least half of season four, but amazed by the professionalism of the actors who hung in there, too.

I don't know if I can watch the episodes without Roy Dupuis. He's part and parcel of what the show is for me. I do certainly look forward to seeing his directorial skills, and I will definitely watch the episode he directs. Even if he's not visible, his talents will be.

I hate that the show is over, but I look forward to seeing M. Dupuis in more movies.

And last but not least, I love all the friends I've made in the process of LFN-dom.

Marie

I usually worked second shift at the hospital which means every other weekend so I didn't usually watch t.v. in the evenings. Well we went to 12hr shifts and with sinority I got to work 7a-7p. I was flipping through the stations one Saturday and saw th preview for Looking For Michael and yes will admitt my first siting of roy Dupuis is what caught my attention but then when I watche dthe preview thought I might like the show. I watched the next night and have been hooked ever since. I even found a tape fairy and now have every episode on tape. Imagine my surprise when I realized I had seen bits and pieces in pt rooms while working and thought I might like that show but had no clue what show it was. I do have to admitt my favorite character is still Michael

Hey, i'm new here. I mean, not just new to the site, but also new to the show. I didn't know anything about the show until this year. My story goes like this. I was so bored on New Year day, all my fav. shows were going on a break. So i surfed through all the channels. It was like 1:00pm, i turned to USA i caught a scene when Nikita was dressed in Chinese funny-looking clothes in Hard handling. I didn't think it was interesting though, so i switched to Disney. But then at about 7:00pm, i switched back to USA, oh my gosh...you know what i caught? It was a close-up scene of Roy's face and i swear his eyes stopped my heart from beating..... Then i continued watching and saw the preview of the next epi of the marathon... And man, the more i watched, the more i got hooked...Now i'm so glad USA is doign the rerun of season 1 and probably the whole thing... I stay up late every night to catch the show. I'm so happy that i found a new good show. VIVA LA FEMME NIKITA

I got hooked when I was channel surfing one afternoon when I probably should have been doing homework (Where I live LFN reruns were shown 5 days a week). What's odd is I just happened to turn on to the channel at the time when the show was starting and what's even odder is that the first episode just happened to be showing then. It was great! I was hooked after 5 min!

Hi there barneychic and Psyche_AM! Welcome to the board. Those are some good stories about getting hooked on LFN.

Psyche - lol, you just happen to turn on the TV and it is the first ep ever? That can't just be coincidence . I didn't stumble across the show until Season 3 and had never seen the first two until they repeated them last Fall. I must say, the first two seasons were the best! The action, the music, the story line, ... delicious.

barneychic - you picked a good day to start watching, too. That marathon was a result of the diligent fan campaign to bring back the show after cancellation. You can read more about it here if you're interested. And since it was Roy Dupuis/Michael who caught your eye, you might want to check out this place called Michael's Office on the Heyn's Hussies board - there's a whole lotta ladies who know just how you feel .
