Joss Whedon to Take on X-Men 3?

This is one of those rumors you really hope pans out. According to TV Guide Online, Joss Whedon (creator of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel") may replace director Bryan Singer on "X-Men 3."

Singer had to drop out of the third "X-Men" film after signing on to direct Warner Bros.' update of "Superman".

Whedon's supernatural pedigree makes him a natural to pick up the "X-Men" movie pieces, and his pre-existing relationship with Marvel as a writer for the "X-Men" comic books doesn't hurt either.

We'll be keeping an eye on further "X-Men" developments on our spotlight page. -- Mac Slocum
