Macy "Coming Back" to Director's Chair

Variety reports William H. Macy, the World's Most Famous Character Actor, is taking on a new task. Macy will make a big-screen directorial debut in "Keep Coming Back," which has just been picked up by ContentFilm for international distribution.

Macy will also act in the film, a coming-of-age dramedy that features Salma Hayek as an ex-stripper who becomes the object of desire for a teenage boy who suffers from a weak heart (Controlling Metaphor Alert)--he even attends the same AA meetings as she does, just to be near her. The cast will also include Steve Buscemi and Mos Def. Principal photography begins this summer, in Los Angeles.

Macy's only previous directorial credit is for the 1988 television film "Lip Service."
