The Lost Blog interviews Mac about Filmfodder's Lost Blog

This was a fun interview: asked me 16 questions about Lost.

Long-time readers will have heard me blather on about most of this stuff before, but you'll find some good stuff in the site's other interviews too.

Great interview. Congrats.

You hit the nail on the head with the "Sun primal scream" and "Sawyer dropping Juliet" - two of the most powerful scenes every (on TV).

You said "lostblog" and I thought it was (dot)net
not (dot)com

Great interview mac! Nicely done.

I still haven't posted any comments about the season opener because I'm still reading all the posts! Stupid work gets in the way...

Again, great job on the interview and I hope it brings some more creative and nice people to your site. (But please, not any of those annoying people who can't take a joke!) Your LOST blog is the only one for me.

Just right down proud to be a part of Mac's oldie's and DocH - you're so right! I also agree with Mac about those two heart-wrenching moments - I can't imagine anyone seeing them broadcast who will ever be able to forget them.

It's very cool that Mac is getting this type of recognition from the "competitors".

Congrats, Mac, on getting much deserved recognition. Totally agree with you regarding "The Constant," Sawyer's reaction to Juliette's death (on a par with Sun's primal scream). Ditto on the Xcellence of The Xfiles through the first 5 years. :)

I had no idea you had other sites! I will have to check them out.

Very cool! You will always be the man, Mac!

Congrats Mac! Everyone should know that you're the best LOST reviewer out there...& thanks for the shout-out, BTW. ealgumby & I were touched & Miss Longthought thought it was quite funny that we were specifically mentioned! : )

GIM (great interview Mac!)

You really are the best when it comes to Lost reviews.

I think we'll see more about Jack's tatoos. Walks among us but is not one of us and so on... Common, the temple leader is japonese/chinese/thai or what ever. Maybe there's a connection! Well, maybe note :)

GIM! I'm so glad you mentioned the acronym list. I forget who started it, but it's one of our best features. Helps the intolerant, persnickety, snarky ones here *raises both hands* to have a sense of humor about repeated questions.

Since you mentioned flash-forwards as BTME (Best Television Moment Ever), I am compelled to now add to the list (I'm sure we've done this before, but tuff noogies):
Bob Newhart ending the Newhart series by being in bed with Emily. Those of us who loved that dorky psychologist jumped through the ceiling when we saw that plaid bedspread.
The autistic boy looking at St. Elsewhere in a snow globe.
Of course, these are only show finales, not nifty plot devices for continuing a show, but they were wonderful.

@DocH #2:

I have to disagree. Juliet's pseudo-death and Sawyer's reaction at the end of S-5 was excellently done, however, the other moment that rivals it, I think, is not Sun's primal scream, but Charlie's death.

In fact, I think Charlie's death was the best executed death scene of the entire show (and this show's had a few of 'em). For me, Jin's pseudo-death paled in comparison to Charlie's. And Sun's scream, while perhaps very realistic, felt too forced.

I really enjoyed your answers to those questions Mac. You rock as usual, and I appreciate all you've done with Film Fodder over these years and how this community has grown.

Mac, congratulations from one of the oldies. I'll need to check out your other sites too!
